In her award winning book, "Ghost Riders," Sharyn McComb used the premise that Civil War re-enactors attract the ghosts of Civil War soldiers.  She feels that modern day re-enactors stir up memories in the hills of Appalachia.  On November 29, 2011 we are going to test this theory.  The Baldwin Reynolds House Museum will be transported back in time to November 29, 1861 for a belated Thanksgiving dinner for 40 very special friends taking place during the Civil War.  The 150th Bucktail Re-enactors will serve as the living examples of Union Officers and visiting civilians.  The night will be filled with "war stories", period music, delicious fixin's and an air of camaraderie straight from 1861.  Dinner will be served promptly at 6:30pm.  Tickets are $25.00 and must be purchased in advance.  Seating is very limited, so please call today.  For reservations, you can contact Judith Stoll at judithlee1@verizon.net or 814-398-4365 and Joshua Sherretts at museumbaldwinreynolds.org or call the museum at 814-333-9882.  Join us for this unique experience.
